An Activity for School-age Children:

Before You Begin:
Gather air-dry clay, tools, paint, glue, sparkles, gems and pipe cleaners for hanging
finished ornament.

Activity Goals:
To provide children with the tactile experience of making a lovely holiday ornament.

Steps:

1. Roll air-dry clay into a 1/4″ slab.
2. Use the tools to make a design and then make a hole near the top that will be used to
   facilitate hanging. Allow to dry.
3. Use paint, glue, sparkles and gems to make the ornament festive.
4. Use a sparkly pipe cleaner for hanging.
