this craft to celebrate fall and all that happens during this festive time of year.

Reusable plastic trays are the easiest way to do this craft, and better for the environment
than disposable paper plates. Pour glue onto a tray to prep for this craft.

Let’s Get Started
To make these unique pumpkins, you'll need to gather the following materials: a reusable
round inflatable form, clear glue or glitter glue, yarn skeins, a plastic trays and gloves
(optional). Inflate the round form before beginning.

Tips and Tricks
As the balls dry, try to move the ball around so that the glued yarn dries all over. Any wet
yarn will cause trouble when removing the form. You may also wish to use glitter glue for
added sparkle.

Follow up Activity
Place all of your pumpkins together to create a pumpkin patch! Using different colors of
yarn and pipe cleaners will ensure a colorful harvest of pumpkins.

Pumpkins are a type of squash, so you may wish to show children other types of squash
and note their differences. Ask whether the children enjoy pumpkin pie, and if they've
ever made a jack-o-lantern.

Steps:

1. Place a bunch of yarn, unraveled and unknotted, into a poured pile of glue so that it
   becomes soaked.
2. Begin wrapping the wet yarn around the inflated form, leaving a space around the valve so
   that the form can be removed. The area around the valve can be cleared off after the
   wrapping is complete.
3. Once the glue is completely dry, deflate the form and remove it from the hard, round
   shape.
4. Add fluffy pipe cleaners as the vines and enjoy your unique pumpkin creation.
